Erika Jackson Bailey is a therapeutic professional, wife, and mother who grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey. Her mother raised Erika Jackson Bailey and her older brother after the loss of their father when Erika Jackson Bailey was a toddler. Her grandmother was another steady presence during those early years.

Erika Jackson Bailey became the first in her family to pursue higher education. She attended Virginia State University and later earned a Master of Science in Counseling and Education. Her work in counseling grew from that education, while writing became a place to put some of her own experiences into words. Marriage and motherhood became part of the picture, too.

More Than Just Me brings those experiences to the page, including the difficult memories, losses, relationships, and doubts that became part of Erika’s story. Today, she utilizes her clinical residency training to guide clients through grief, trauma, and identity transitions, seamlessly blending academic theory with deep, real-world empathy to foster lasting personal healing
